Delilah in Bath

Delilah had loved the Dales, but she was eager to check out her next city of Bath.

When she arrived at the Train Station she walked past the River Avon and the Pulteney Bridge on the way to her hotel. It was absolutely beautiful.

She relaxed in her hotel that night, but the next morning would be a busy day for her.

She headed to Stonehenge first thing in the morning.

She was even thinking about buying a portrait of Stonehenge for her house, but then decided it was a tad to big.

Before heading back to Bath she decided to take a detour through the famous town of Lacock. Lacock was where many movies like Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice had been filmed, and TV shows like Downton Abbey.

Lacock has a beautiful church dedicated to St. Cyriac. There are only two churches in the world dedicated to him!

There had been many a traffic jam on the way back to Bath though, and she arrived late in the afternoon.

She decided just to hang in her bedroom that night (it was hot) because tomorrow she would be exploring Bath!

The next morning she woke up, had breakfast, and headed straight to the Roman baths. It was known to be busy so she got there early.

There were great views of Bath Abbey from the Baths.

At one point Delilah headed down right to where the Baths were, which was really neat.

After the baths, Delilah had tea in the famous Pump Room, tearoom.

It was delicious!

That afternoon Delilah got to go to the Jane Austen Centre where there were life sized wax models of Jane Austen and characters like Mr. Darcy.

Soon, it was time for the World Cup Quarter Finals, and all the residents of Bath disappeared into the pubs.

So, Delilah figured that since the streets were quiet it would be the perfect time to take pictures of the Royal Crescent and the The Circus.

Later that day before heading back to her hotel, Delilah stopped when she found a group of dogs in the window. Photo opt!

The next day, was her last morning in Bath. Delilah had really enjoyed Bath the problem was, it was just too hot and they're weren't enough fans or any air conditioning like there was back in London.

Delilah spent her last morning going down to the River Avon, one more time. One thing about Bath though she had learned, was that it was incredibly scenic.

Delilah would miss Bath, but she was excited to see what the next city had to offer!

  1. Delilah, you took some amazing pictures in Bath. My favorite is the one of you with Bath Abbey in the background. It does seem a little hot there for you. Hope you find more fans soon!

    1. Thank you! We never got to go inside Bath Abbey but the outside was stunning. With all this wool I think I need to find a bit of a cooler place to live.
