Renee and Liliana's Afternoon Party

It was a Sunday afternoon, and Renee Red Panda was bored to death! She had done absolutely nothing all day.

That's when she had an idea, what if she had a party! She immediately called up her best friend Liliana Tuxedo Cat, and told her the idea.

Liliana zoomed over in record time. Liliana loved hosting parties and had learned a lot from her mother, Natalie, the mayoress of Brambly Corners.

Liliana and Renee went up to Renee's room to discuss the party. Who should they invite? Would there be a theme? Food?

While Renee invited their friends, Liliana went downstairs to change the seating arrangement of Renee's parlour. Renee liked the setup but Liliana requested that Renee go and find some flowers to spruce up the place.

Renee obeyed her rather bossy friend and headed out to her mother's greenhouse where Raina Red Panda was working diligently. Renee asked politely to borrow some of her mother's flowers.

Renee and Liliana barely set up the flowers and put out the green tea before their friends arrived! Isabelle, Rosetta, Sadie, and Belle had all come to the party.

The friends chatted, spilling the tea as they drank their green tea.

Isabelle had to leave early to go to tennis practice so the remaining girls went up to Renee's room. Rosetta had some new style ideas that she wanted to try out on the girls, which she did.

The girls left late in the afternoon and Renee thanked Liliana for all her help for making the party the success. They agreed they would have to do more, especially come warmer spring days. Possibly, a future garden party is in the works.

Meet the Red Panda Family

Since you may be seeing more of the families of Brambly Corners, I decided we should probably introduce you to all of them! I've introduced the Tippyscotch, Hopper, and Tuxedo Cat families in previous posts so now we are onto the lovely Red Panda Family. Enjoy!

Family Members

The father of the family is Russell Red Panda. Russell works at the Brambly Corners General Store but is also a professional beer sommelier and wants to open a pub in town. Russell enjoys watching football and reading history books.

The mother of the family is Raina Red Panda. Raina is an avid gardener in her free time but works as a nurse at the Brambly Corners Clinic. Raina loves to bake and is a big Mary Berry fan. The house is always filled with delicious treats. Raina would love to go on the Great British Bake Off someday but unfortunately it's only for humans. Maybe she'll be able to start one for her fellow animal friends however.

Raina and Russell's daughter, Renee is their only child but she doesn't mind it. Renee's best friend is Liliana Tuxedo Cat who lives closely. Renee is thirteen years old and loves to play soccer and do rhythmic gymnastics.

The Red Panda family lives at Harebell Hall in House #2. Raina gave us a look at the downstairs parlor where the family relaxes. Upstairs are the bedroom, and next to the parlor is the kitchen and dining area.

Thanks for reading and meeting one of the Brambly Corners family! Stay tuned for more posts coming soon.

Delilah at Keukenhof Gardens

Hi all! I haven't posted since July 2018 which seems so long ago when you think about it. Now with the COVID-19 pandemic I finally have to time to catch up on this blog. We took photos of Delilah Dale last spring when we went to Keukenhof Gardens outside of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Enjoy this post of Delilah, our globe trotting friend!

Delilah had settled in quite well into Brambly Corners but she still longed to see more of the world. She planned a spring trip to the Netherlands to see the tulips.

She knew she had to go to Keukenhof, one of the largest flower gardens in the world!

She was shocked to see how big all the flowers were, some of them towered over her!

She snapped some photos will all the rainbows of flowers she saw throughout the gardens. She'd never seen such a wide variety of flowers in one place before!

Not only did Keukenhof have tulips but it had daffodils as well.

She took a little break to eat some apple pie and of course, Chocomel! Delilah had fallen in love with Chocomel ever since she had landed in the Netherlands.

Delilah headed back out refueled with some food. That's when she stopped dead in her tracks. It was a Nijntje Miffy shop and Miffy herself was out front!

Turns out that it wasn't the real Miffy. Delilah was a little disappointed but she was still excited to tell her friends back in Brambly Corners that she had seen the store.

Delilah was awestruck seeing all of the amazing landscaping of Keukenhof. There were rivers, windmills, boats, gazebos, and of course, flowers! It was beautiful.

Before she left, Delilah remembered to take a photo in front of the Keukenhof Flower Planter. She was so glad she had gotten the chance to see all of this. She was excited she would have another story to tell at the kids back in Brambly Corners when they came to her candy floss cart.
