Happy Birthday, Natalie!

Hi everyone! It's Ellie back with a new post about a special birthday here in Brambly Corners! Enjoy!

It was Saturday morning. Relaxing for kids, not relaxing for moms. Natalie Tuxedo Cat woke up, as sunlight gleamed in through her balcony window. It was bright out for 6:30 (her weekend wake up time.) She looked over at her clock it was 9:00! As a mom you never oversleep, there is breakfast to be made and sheets to be washed!

She rushed over to her closet, to change into her Saturday dress.

When she got downstairs she realized it was unusually quiet in her house. The light was still on downstairs with a pitcher of lime juice and a cupcake. She eyed the cupcake and looked over at the calendar. That's when she realized "it was her birthday!"

She sat down at the table and poured herself a cup of lime juice and ate the cupcake (unhealthy but a delicious breakfast choice.)

She headed out into the commons of her home (Hareball Hall) and realized the whole building was quiet. The Yellow Labrador family was defientely not home (you could hear when they were) and all the lights in the Hopper house were turned off. Had the whole building decided to give her some time alone?

Natalie headed upstairs to her room and began to knit while she turned on the TV to watch the Royal Wedding live from the palace.

Soon she fell asleep for a mid-morning nap.

She woke up to the lights flickering in her room. She opened her eyes startled to see a cat standing in the room. It was just her husband, Mason Tuxedo Cat.
"Happy 40th Birthday! We decided we'd give you some time to yourself this morning as an early present!" he said.
"Aww... thanks!" she responded.
"Come to the balcony! We have a surprise!" he said excited.

Below was her daughters Liliana and Rosetta and all her friends Susanne, Stephanie, Raina, and Lucia.

"Happy Birthday, Natalie," they all said with gigantic smiles!

Natalie rushed down and they crowded her in a big group hug!

"Were you surprised?" asked Rosetta.
"I most certainly was" laughed Natalie.

The rest of the afternoon the group spent sewing and drinking a new brand of tea called Strawberry Shortcake. It was the best birthday ever!

I love her Sturday dress, is it sylvanian or handmade?

    1. Thanks so much Cutata! The dress is Sylvanian I believe it came with the Girl's Lavender Room set. I have yet to see any Strawberry Shortcake tea, but it does sound delicious!
