The Toy Store

Hi everyone! It's Ellie here and I'm sorry I haven't been posting recently. Today, I have a post about the Brambly Corners Toy Store. Enjoy!

It was the first day of winter break, but Renee was not at all excited. Renee lived in the Magnolia Mountains in the far corner of Brambly Corners, and it took 30 minutes to drive to the small town of Brambly where all her friends lived, in the valley. She wouldn't get to see them if she wasn't in school.

Renee was grumbling about this when she walked downstairs to get breakfast. Renee's mother Raina made scrambled eggs and toast with a side of cranberry jam. Renee saw that it was lightly snowing outside, so she gobbled up her breakfast hoping that the snow would give her something to do.

Just then Renee heard the doorbell ring. Renee ran to get it, wondering who'd be up in this corner of the mountain. Renee opened the door and there stood her best friend in the whole world, Lilliana! Lilliana lived in Brambly Corners, with her parents and her twin sister Rosetta. Behind, Lilliana was her mother Natalie. Renee invited Natalie and Lilliana inside, where Renee's mother gave Natalie a big hug. Lilliana and Renee's mothers were best friends, just like Lilliana and Renee! Natalie explained that she was here to see if Renee would like to go to the village with them to help Mrs. Hopper on the opening day of her toy shop. Of course, Renee said yes!

When Renee and Lilliana arrived they found Ms. Hopper and her youngest daughter Katerina. Ms. Hopper was organizing some items on the shelf, while Katerina played around in a toy grocery cart.

Ms. Hopper was so pleased to have Renee and Lilliana's help. Renee helped put things from inventory onto the shelves while Lilliana entertained Katerina to keep her from being a distraction.

Soon, the first customers Ms. Tippyscotch and her son Hopper came. Hopper's twin sister Honor was at her cousin's house in Honeysuckle Hollow, so it was only Hopper and Ms. Tippyscotch. Hopper loved the slide in the play corner.

Lilliana watched Hopper as he played with some of the cars off of the wooden shelves.

While Lilliana distracted Hopper, Renee packaged up some Christmas gifts that Ms. Tippyscotch was buying for Hopper, Honor, and her older daughter Brooke.

Soon it was time for Hopper and Ms. Tippyscotch to leave, and Hopper was very interested to know what was in the big box that Renee handed his mother. Ms. Tippyscotch said he'd have to wait for tomorrow morning when they opened gifts.

That's how it went the rest of the afternoon. Mrs. Hopper greeted customers, Renee helped them find what they wanted, and Lilliana entertained the little ones. Animals from the neighboring town of Honeysuckle Hollow came, as well as some of the Brambly Corners residents. It was very busy and a huge success.

At the end of the day, both Lilliana and Renee's moms came to pick them up. They got into a long boring adult conversation with Ms. Hopper though giving Renee and Lilliana time to play with some of the toys themselves. They drew all over the chalkboard and played tea, just like they did when they were little. At the end of the day, Renee realized it had been a great first day of winter break after all!

I hoped you enjoyed today's story everyone! Hopefully, I will be able to post more stories over my winter break! Thanks for reading!

Hopper and Honor's Futuristic Adventure

Hi everyone! It's Ellie, and I'm back with a post about the bunny twins Hopper and Honor. Enjoy!

It was a beautiful autumn afternoon, and Brooke Tippyscotch was suppose to be watching her younger twin siblings Hopper and Honor. Ms. Susanne Tippyscotch (the children's mother) was out having tea with her dearest friend Mel Canberra, from Susanne's hometown of Honeysuckle Hollow.

Instead of watching Honor and Hopper, Brooke was on the phone with her best friend Rosetta Tuxedo Cat, who lived down the road.

Hopper and Honor were up in their crib. Honor was humming to the rhythm of one of her favorite Mary Engelbreit poem's, while Hopper was thinking of some way to get into trouble. That's when Hopper looked out the window at the lights that decked the house. He whispered to his sister "let's go explore the roof of the house, and look at the lights." Honor stopped humming abruptly and nodded with a mischievous grin.

Honor peered out of the crib, and was delighted to see that Brooke had turned facing away from the crib and was getting into a story about her enemy (Rosetta's twin sister) Liliana Tuxedo Cat. This was sure to keep Brooke distracted. Hopper opened the window and climbed out, followed by his sister.

Honor and Hopper were very strong (they crawled up and down the later to their crib everyday) and made there way up to the rooftop.

The light started to fade from the sky as Hopper and Honor crawled to the edge of the roof. It was beautiful and they could see all of Brambly Corners. Soon enough though they saw someone familiar walking down the lane... their mother.

Susanne gasped in horror when she saw what the twins had done. She called out to Brooke, who reluctantly hung up the phone and walked out to meet her mother. When she saw the twins stranded on the rooftop she to gasped horrified. Susanne told Brooke to go call for their neighbor Richie Hopper.

A few minutes later Brooke returned with Richie and a latter. Richie bravely climbed up the latter and got the twins down. Susanne thanked Richie with all of her heart.

When Susanne got the twins and Brooke inside she gave them all a good scolding. As a result of this, Susanne brought the twin's crib down for the night. She thought maybe sleeping on solid ground would knock some sense into the twins, little did she know that she and Brooke would soon experience a very unpleasant night.....

Brooke and Rosetta's Sleepover

Hi everyone! It's Ellie here, and today I have a post on the sleepover Brooke Tippyscotch and Rosetta Tuxedo Cat had. Enjoy!

Rosetta Tuxedo Cat woke up in a jolly state of mood, for she was so excited for her sleepover with Brooke Tippyscotch, that day. Like always her sister Liliana was up before her, probably eating breakfast before going exploring with her best friend Isabelle. Rosetta literally jumped out of bed and started packing her suitcase. She packed slippers, her nightgown, hairbrush, and vanity set. Liliana called the vanity in their room vainty. She said this because she believed that people were usually "vain" when they wore makeup. Rosetta went downstairs after she packed her suitcase, she was already to go to the sleepover. Rose told her mother "I'm ready!" Rosetta's mom Natalie and Rosetta's sister Lily looked at her in a confused way. "The sleepover starts at 5:00 tonight, sweetheart" said Rosetta's mom. "Oh..." responded Rosetta, now she understood. "That why it's called sleepover, Rosetta" Liliana said rolling her eyes.

9 Hours Later

"Can we go now, mom?" Rosetta asked her mother. "Sure, go get on your jacket and boots and then we can leave" Rosetta's mom replied. Snow drifted down from the gloomy sky above, as Rosetta and her mother walked through the snow over to Brooke's house. Brambly Corners Susanne Tippyscotch warmly welcomed Rosetta and her mother into her house. Brooke helped Rosetta unpack everything from her suitcase while Susanne and Natalie talked over some chamomile tea and lavender tea cakes. After, Natalie went home Brooke showed Rosetta up to the reading alcove. As soon as Brooke and Rosetta arrived up in the alcove, they found Brooke's younger twin siblings Hopper and Honor playing around. Hopper and Honor were both quite adventurous and usually were finding some new way [usually pretty dangerous] to express their curiosity. Hopper and Honor also refused to sleep on the ground. The Tippyscotch house only had one floor so Susanne had to construct a safe way to put Hopper and Honor's crib up in the air. She attached the crib to a rim along the edge of the house with some glue dots. The other side of the crib is held up with a wooden ladder also used to reach the alcove. Susanne was originally thinking of putting the crib in the alcove area but Brooke refused to give up her special reading space.

Brooke and Rosetta had some Berry Salad for dinner. Almost every meal in Brambly Corners included berries and it was the main food for every animal that lived in Brambly Corners. A Berry Salad was a classic for many of the animals who lived there. Berry Salads included Açai Berries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Boysenberries, Chokecherries, Cloudberries, Dewberries, Elderberries, Gooseberries, Huckleberries, Juniper Berries, Lingonberries, Nannyberries, Persimmons, Raspberries, Strawberries, Sugarberries, and Thimbleberries. After dinner Rosetta and Brooke played with Honor and Hopper. Soon Honor and Hopper were tired and they went up to their crib. Before, you knew it Brooke and Rosetta got tired too and went off to bed. Before she drifted off to sleep she was thought about what an amazing sleepover she and Brooke had, had that day.

Thank you for reading my post for today! I will have more coming soon, so keep your eyes open! Bye!

April Fool's Scavenger Hunt Part 1

Hello everyone! It's Ellie, and today I have a fun, exciting April Fool's post. Our friends Brooke Tippyscotch and Isabelle Hopper will be going on a Scavenger Hunt. I will post 2 parts today, this is the first. Enjoy!

Isabelle Hopper sat up in her bed, and yawned. She stretched out her arms.

She got out of bed and headed downstairs.  On the way down she realized it was April Fool's Day. Hooray!
When she got downstairs, Isabelle's mother had already left her breakfast. Isabelle gobbled up the food.
Isabelle heard the doorbell ring and she went to the door to answer it. Isabelle's best friend Brooke was at the door. "Brooke" said Isabelle, "You're here, come on inside." Brooke stepped inside, and gave her friend a hug.

They went up to Isabelle's room to talk.
A few minutes later, Isabelle's dad came up to Isabelle's room. "Hi Isabelle, Hi Brooke" he said. "Hi Dad, Hi Mr. Hopper" responded Isabelle and Brooke.

"Happy April Fool's Day!" said Mr. Hopper.  "You girls doing anything special, today?" he asked. Isabelle and Brooke shook their heads is response.  "How about I make you an April Fool Scavenger Hunt?" asked Mr. Hopper. Isabelle and Brooke answered "Yeah!"
A few minutes later, Mr. Hopper handed Isabelle and Brooke a piece of paper. Isabelle and Brooke thanked Mr. Hopper, and Brooke read what was written on the paper.
Fingers waving in the breeze of spring's light air
Colors changing in the leaves when daylight falls short
Towering over everything else, but also providing a nest

Isabelle and Brooke looked at each other with confusion. What could it mean?

Isabelle and Brooke's Spring Adventure

Hi everyone. It's Ellie here, and today I have a Spring Photo Story. The characters in the story are Brooke Tippyscotch, Daughter of the Rabbit Family and Isabelle Hopper, Daughter of the Kangaroo Family. Enjoy!

Isabelle Hopper yawned, and hopped out of bed.

She went downstairs for breakfast. Her mother gave her some lime juice, grapes, and toast with strawberry jam. Isabelle munched her food silently.

She looked outside, it had just finished raining and there was a rainbow in the sky.

She decided that today would be the perfect day to go on a spring adventure with her friend Brooke Tippyscotch. Isabelle's mom, Stephanie, handed her a luncheon basket. Isabelle thanked her, and off she went.

She walked over to Brooke's house, and rang the doorbell. Brooke opened the door, and smiled when she saw Isabelle.

Isabelle told Brooke her idea. Brooke loved her idea, and off they went.

Isabelle and Brooke first went to go look at the giant lavender plant they had heard of. It was big indeed. They rubbed their paws on the plant, and they smelled their hands. Their hands smelled heavenly.

Then they went over to the big Brambly Tree, which stood in the heart of Brambly Corners. Isabelle was brave, and climbed the Brambly Tree, despite it being muddy under the Brambly Tree.

Then they decided to head over to an area they saw before that looked perfect to stop and have lunch. First, though, they stopped at a giant puddle. Neither of them were brave enough to walk into the puddle, so they just stood at the side of the puddle staring at their reflections.

Then they had a delicious lunch of Salad, Cheese, Orange Juice, and Roast Beef Sandwiches. It was amazing!

Then they decided to look at clouds. Isabelle thought one cloud looked like the Brambly Tree, Brooke thought the same cloud looked like a sandwich. I'm not sure how they thought that they looked like those items, because I thought it looked like a river.

Then they went over to a sundial sculpture. They looked at it, confused. They didn't know what the sundial was. They also were confused why half of the sundial was wet and the other half wasn't.

Isabelle and Brooke then went back to Brooke's house and went in her conservatory.

They played around in it for a while, then Brooke had to go home. It had been a great day, indeed!

Thank you for reading the post everyone! Bye!
